Sebastian is one of those places that gets better when you do less. For the back half of this week — Friday, March 27 through Sunday, March 29, 2026 — I would keep it to one riverfront event, one easy outdoor stop before the heat kicks up, and one backup that still feels unmistakably local if the wind or a quick shower changes the mood. You do not need a packed itinerary here. You just need two or three good calls.

| Best Friday plan: Concerts in the Park at Riverview Park. It is the cleanest Sebastian answer if you want to get out without overcomplicating the night. |
| Best Saturday move: Afternoons in the Agrihood at Spirit of Sebastian. It is social, low-pressure, and easy to do at your own pace. |
| Best add-on or backup: do Pelican Island in the morning if you want quiet and fresh air. If the weather turns, swap in Mel Fisher’s Treasure Museum and call it a smart pivot. |

Best Friday pick of the week. Glory Days is on deck, food trucks are on site, and this is about as low-effort and reliably Sebastian as a night gets. Bring a lawn chair and let the riverfront do the rest.

Friday, March 27 • volunteer meet-and-greet 10:30 AM–1:30 PM
The refuge’s public areas are open daily, and Friday has a volunteer meet-and-greet at the Centennial Trailhead. If you have been meaning to do one easy local walk with real payoff, this is the one: boardwalk, birds, and a very Sebastian kind of quiet.

Saturday, March 28 • 2:00–5:00 PM • 100 Spirit Blvd.
This is the easiest Saturday choice if you want something social but not hectic. Expect the farmers market, local makers, a cooking demo, and a kid zone — the kind of event where you can stay 30 minutes or two hours and feel good either way.

For an indoor plan that still feels deeply local, this is the move. It is quick, interesting, and tied directly to the stretch of coast that gave the Treasure Coast its name.

North Indian River County Library is one of the easiest no-spend local resets around: 1001 Sebastian Boulevard, open Thursday–Friday 10:00 AM–5:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM–4:00 PM. Bonus if you want a built-in indoor plan: the Chamber calendar lists Adults Dungeons & Dragons there on Saturday, March 28 from 1:00–4:00 PM.

Community note
A lot of places have a pretty waterfront. Sebastian also has Pelican Island — the nation’s first national wildlife refuge — sitting right in its orbit. That history still shapes the feel of the town. Even a short stop there this week is a good reminder that Sebastian is not just another coastal weekend town.
