One small schedule change matters this weekend: Sailfish Splash Waterpark has moved out of daily summer hours and is now open to the public on weekends and Labor Day only, 10:30 a.m.–5 p.m., through Sept. 7. The National Weather Service is keeping the late-summer pattern in place: low-90s heat with afternoon storm chances. Front-load the outdoor stuff and keep a dry backup.

Saturday’s no-brainer is free aquarium admission
Make the St. Lucie County Aquarium 25th Anniversary Celebration your Saturday anchor. Admission is free all day, with special activities from 10 a.m.–1 p.m.; the aquarium stays open until 4. It is the best family value of the weekend: a one-time milestone, hands-on marine learning, and an indoor retreat if storms build. Arrive near 10 for the special programming. Another free admission day is planned for Aug. 28.

This Weekend Across the Coast
Three plans that justify leaving the AC
Comedy Zone at Riverside Theatre: The best date-night pick. Bear Webb headlines with Angela Nacca Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 6 and 8:30 p.m.; seats are $15 or $25. It is 18+, indoors, and online purchase is still offered.
Beach to Beach 5K Run: Saturday starts at 7 a.m. in Stuart; registration is $50 and the page showed 155 spots left at send time. The last bus to the starting line leaves at 6:40 a.m., and the price rises after 11:59 p.m. tonight.
Art Walk — Autumn Unfolding: Friday, 5–8 p.m. in downtown Fort Pierce. See the new exhibition and light refreshments, then leave room for dinner or a second stop. It is the low-commitment arts pick tonight.

Worth the Drive
Two backup-worthy drives: galleries or country
Vero Beach Museum of Art: Saturday 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Sunday 1–4 p.m. Adults are $12 and ages 17 and under are free. James Prosek: At Work and Jill Nathanson: Chromatic Phrases make this the strongest indoor culture backup. The sculpture parks and cafe are closed during campus improvements.
Icons of Country at Summer Crush Vineyard & Winery: Saturday 1–4 p.m., gates at noon. Advance admission is currently $20.50 before taxes and fees; day-of is $26.50, with prices subject to change. It is rain or shine and best for a casual group that wants a singalong afternoon.

If I were choosing one grown-up plan, I’d make Riverside the whole Saturday night: catch The Lionheart Band at The Loop from 5:30–8:30, then take the 8:30 Comedy Zone set with Bear Webb and Angela Nacca. It wins because you get music, food-and-drink options, and an indoor hard stop without bouncing around Vero. If storms linger, skip the outdoor music and keep the comedy ticket. Comedy Zone is 18+, with $15 and $25 seats. Low logistics, good payoff.
